When Zach Villa bought his dream Miami house last year, he expected a modest one-bedroom home that could hold two people and cost less than $200,000.
Instead, he says, he found it to be the envy of a dozen others in his area.
A few months later, he’s still struggling to pay off his $30,000 mortgage.
“It’s definitely been a struggle,” says Villa, 30, who moved to Miami from California last year.
“We wanted something with a lot of character and personality and lots of space. “
