You can’t afford to live in a villa.
And you probably won’t, at least not at a villas cost.
If you want to buy a house, you’d better be able to afford to buy an apartment, and then live there for the rest of your life.
But that’s a big if, and the average American can’t get close to that standard, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association, which tracks home ownership and mortgage debt in the United States.
That’s especially true for renters who can’t live at home, and it’s also true for Americans who are already paying too much on their mortgages.
But if you want the most comfortable, affordable homes in a given city, you’re going to have to find somewhere close to your price point, said Matthew Kneeland, chief executive of the mortgage association.
And in the most expensive areas, that’s not possible.
You’re going get priced out of some areas.
That is not a luxury in America, he said.
“I’m not talking about luxury in the sense that you can walk into a mall and go and buy a car and drive to the nearest city,” he said in an interview.
“There’s no way to get to that point.”
If you need a place that’s expensive, you probably can’t buy one, either.
And it’s not even the luxury of living in a house.
It’s the cost of living, according a study by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
It says the median cost of a typical home in New York City is about $2.2 million, which is more than $800,000 less than the median rent in the city in 2016.
If that’s the standard, a house in New Orleans costs more than one-fifth of that.
A place like an $800-a-month apartment in San Francisco costs $3.6 million, more than twice the median house rent in San Diego, where median rent is $1,746.
It doesn’t help that the average house is not built for people to live for decades or more.
The median price of a house built in the mid-1970s in Brooklyn is $3 million.
It is not uncommon for New York residents to pay less than 10 percent of the median income for housing, the study found.
“The most expensive place to live is in a city like New York, but it’s a luxury,” Kneelaid said.
A lot of people who can afford the most luxuries don’t.
The average rent in Miami is $2,000 a month, or nearly $2 million.
And even if you can buy an entire house, that price doesn’t include utilities, car payments or other monthly expenses that can add up to more than the monthly rent.
“You can’t take a car to get there,” said Kevin Lohman, an economist at the University of California, Berkeley.
“That’s the kind of stuff you need to pay for.”

And while there’s a lot of talk about how people can live longer by moving to areas closer to nature and nature’s creatures, that doesn’t happen.
The study found that of the 1.6 billion people who lived in the U.S. in 2016, only 4 percent lived in a suburb.
That means about 4 percent of Americans can live comfortably and afford a house somewhere within driving distance of their home.
But those 4 percent can’t go to places like New Orleans or the Big Apple and live happily ever after.
The only places where that is possible are places with high unemployment and other conditions that put people at a disadvantage, according Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Analytics.
In addition, there’s some evidence that some of those people will want to live closer to work, Lohmann said.
People who want to stay close to their jobs are more likely to move to a suburban location.
That can lead to high rents.
There are many reasons why people might not want to move from one place to another.
“If you’re not going to live there long term, you may as well not bother,” Zandi said.
But people who live longer tend to have better quality of life, and they’re less likely to have health problems.
If people can afford a more comfortable lifestyle but live at a lower cost, they can still get a house close to where they live, Kneeling said.
And people who choose to live close to nature can be healthier and spend more time outside, said David Wintemute, president of the Association of Real Estate Boards of America.
They’re not only healthier, they’re more likely, Wintmute said.
